1982 : creation of FORGES GORCE SARL by Mr Robert Gorce (previously individual company created in 1952).

4 December 1990: takeover of FORGES GORCE SARL by JPB DEVELOPPEMENT SA of Mr Jean-Paul Benoit.

1 January 1997: takeover of JPB DEVELOPPEMENT SA by the ALAMO group.
1 July 1997: JPB DEVELOPPEMENT SA and FORGES GORCE SARL merge to form FORGES GORCE SA subsidiary of SMA SA.
1 January 2000: FORGES GORCE SA becomes FORGES GORCE SAS

Key figures
More than six million parts manufactured a year including four million knives. Manufacturing shops covering 1000 m². Two fully automated forge lines. The plant has a capacity of 10,000 hours working a year. It transforms 1000 tons of steel a year.

FORGES GORCE supplies about 2/3 of DDEs with wear parts.
FORGES GORCE also supplies well known manufacturers of mowers-brush clearers like SMA, LAGARDE, BOMFORD TURNER, MAC CONNEL etc. in all more than some fifteen makes. And FORGES GORCE supplies distribution networks like SOCODICOR, EPAGRI, CAP ALLIANCE, DELTA FORCE, GAREM.
